Key responsibilities include:
- Manage a diverse caseload and deliver evidence-based interventions
- Apply understanding of disability rights and Positive Behavior Support principles
- Provide supervision to Positive Behavior Support team members, Provisional Psychologists, and clinical students
- Identify challenging behaviours and develop Behaviour Support plans
- Adapt behavior support strategies to various environments such as home, school, or community settings
- Monitor and evaluate Behaviour Support plans
- Complete psychological assessments and counselling using CBT and ABA techniques
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Bachelor of Psychology or equivalent
- AHPRA registration
- Current registration as Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS
- Full Australian drivers' licence and reliable vehicle
- National Police Clearance
- NDIS, DHS clearance, WWC (or willing to obtain)
- Australian working rights
- Up to date immunisation history
- Demonstrated experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner at a Core, Proficient or Advanced level
