AddressPosition Overview:
- Positions are available for an immediate start, we have back-to-back scheduled shutdown work up until the end of the year and into next year across multiple sites in the Pilbara region.
- Alliance offers extremely competitive rates for shutdown and roster works.
- As part of the maintenance crew, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and splicing of steel cords on conveyor belts and conveyor systems, including basic mechanical maintenance.
- Verification of Competency in Splicing Certificate III in Polymer Processing (Hot Splice/ Cold Splice/ Steel Cord/Hot and Cold Repairs/ Rubber Lining).
- Working Safely at Heights.
- Confined Spaces.
- Gast Test Atmospheres.
- Current Drivers Licence & reliable transport.
- BHP and FMG inducted (desirable but not mandatory)
- Demonstrated safe work practices.
- Inspection, Installation, and Maintenance of bulk handling conveyor belts and associated components.
- Steel cord splicing ability.
- Fabric cord splicing ability.
- Hot and Cold repairs.
- Ability to carry out belt preps on-site, shut down maintenance.
- Identification of common belt problems and faults and work out the best method of repair.
- Carry out work in compliance with all quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Adhering to Hazard Identification processes.
