Fortescue are currently seeking an experienced Belt Technician - Leading Hand to work with in the Central Maintenance Team. Reporting to the Central Maintenance Supervisor this role will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving Conveyor systems and equipment enabling Fixed Plant Operations to meet present and future operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Core value of safety first and leading by example.
- Hazard identification and rectification
- Provide on job support and coaching to personnel during maintenance activities across the OPF processing assets.
- Carry out steel cord & fabric conveyor belt splicing and repairs.
- All aspects of conveyor system maintenance
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and log all information into the asset management app (PDS)
- Shutdown area lead and Supervision of shutdown teams
- Level 3 Belt Splicing trade qualification or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience in computer maintenance management systems, (SAP, PDS).
- Significant experience in a fixed plant continuous processing plant.
- Proven commitment to safety.
- Good verbal, written and computer skills.
- Sound problem solving and analytical skills.
