AddressWe are working closely with our government client to secure them an experienced ICT Benefits Manager to work on a project that will deliver a new web-based interface to facilitate flexible, intuitive and efficient system use and enable access via mobile devices and a new secure, consistent, flexible service layer to facilitate data sharing with government and non-government agencies.
About the role:
Reporting to the Project Director, as the Benefits Manager, you will provide effective and professional guidance on the management and realisation of identified benefits for this department by supporting all workstreams (Agile IT Operations and Enterprise Datalake and BI dashboard) within the project and business in linking to outcomes, implementing effective benefits management approaches and assuring benefits and evaluation planning.
Your key responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for reviewing / assessing the already developed Benefits Realisation Plan;
- You will validate, baseline, plan, track and report on the benefit status of the identified benefits of all workstreams of the IOMS Evolve Project;
- Develop and manage the process and toolkits needed to support and govern effective benefits enablement and realisation to ensure they meet the project objectives and targets;
- Defining and embed the benefits realisation toolkit and blueprint;
- By supporting the intended / identified benefits, as well as reviewing the associated benefit profiles and realisation plans, this role will consciously enhance capability uplift and knowledge across the business through coaching benefit owner/s through the benefit realisation process;
- Work with the ICT PMO to help uplift their benefits management capability;
- Ensure that tracking mechanisms and benefit realisation procedures are in place to establish the links between project delivery to benefits realisation and supports project evaluation to ensure that the deliverable work streams meets all requirements;
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure that benefits are clearly captured at the commencement of project lifecycle, clear benefits management strategies are developed and recorded and that the methods and metrics for reporting realisation are established through the project lifecycle in advance of benefits realisation reviews and evaluations processes;
- Ensures benefit owners are in place and already defined benefits profiles are communicated, understood and managed within the project and when transferring to Business As Usual (BAU);
- Working with the Change & Training Manager & team to develop one view of identified benefits across all work streams and monitor progress, providing an early alert to the Project Director & Project Managers & Senior colleagues, to any areas of benefit variation or deviation;
- Provide support to business stakeholders to assess the impact on benefits of variations and ensure there are mechanisms in place to track the realisation of benefits, both planned and unplanned, as they arise through the project lifecycle;
- Ensures benefit reviews are held to provide assurance to the Project Board on benefit realisation; and
- Assure that benefits realisation management and evaluation requirements have been met through the project life cycle, including coordination / contribution to external Gated Assurance reviews.
