The Role
We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Billing Officer to join our Finance team based in Sydney. This role reports to the National Billing & Collections Manager. In this role you will be responsible for supporting organisational goals reviewing billing data, keeping accurate data to generate invoices, resolving the client’s billing inquiries, and supporting internal stakeholders in resolving billing issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Claiming invoices on client portals
- Ad hoc billing following client requirements
- Developing and tracking appropriate KPIs for the billing team
- Work as part of a team to achieve individual and team KPIs
- Constantly review and improve the billing processes.
- Update client PO’s
- Support other team members with ad hoc duties that are vital in achieving departmental goals.
- Correspond with clients, answering inquiries and resolving any discrepancies or disputes
Requirements
- Detail oriented
- Strong organisational skills
- Consistently complete workload with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to prioritise workload, direct workflow, and delegate where appropriate.
- A passionate and positive attitude
- High level interpersonal and time management skills
- Able to work well autonomously or in a team
- Willing to lead by example, which means being willing to make collection calls and chase debt
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Previous billing experience is desirable
