Biomedical Engineer / Electronics Technician
Electromedical Services Pty Ltd provides repairs, maintenance and support of medical devices. This position is casual/part time and is based in SYDNEY, 2000.
What We Are Looking For:
- A degree-level education or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical/Computer/Biomedical Engineering- which is acceptable for membership of Engineers Australia.
- Experience with electronics testing and repair procedures for mechanical and electrical devices, in particular with medical equipment.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and analytical skills. Self motivated, capable of working independently, punctual and committed to complete tasks. Has the ability to understand, compose and edit technical documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acceptance testing of biomedical equipment and support systems, conduct preventive maintenance, write testing specifications.
- Ensures the repair and maintenance of medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer and AS3551/3003 guidelines.
- Performs Preventive Maintenance including calibration, safety test on a regular scheduled basis, provides technical assistance and guidance to equipment users and to less experienced members of the Biomedical Engineering Department.
- Follow defined service quality standards, Work Health & Safety Polices and Procedures relating to the work being undertaken- in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Excellent Communications Skills (written and verbal in English)
- You will also need to hold a current NSW Drivers License as this position requires casual travel.
