Boat Sales / Broker

Oceanique Marine are seeking an experienced salesperson in the boating industry to join our team based in Fremantle. We are looking for someone who is an energetic self-starter, who is looking to grow with our business and be a key member of our team. Sound knowledge of boats, experience in selling, good negotiation skills, and the right attitude and approach to excellent customer service is a must. Along with in-house training you will also be offered the chance to build on your experience as salesperson however, being a self-starter is a must. 

You will have the ability to self-manage and learn quickly. With the nature of the position, you will also need to be happy to get hands on when necessary!

The role involves regular weekend (alternate Saturday) work and attendance at the Perth Boat Show.

Oceanique Marine exclusively represent Haines Signature Boats and ITALBOATS in Western Australia. We also operate a highly respected and well-regarded brokerage business, marketing and selling pre-owned vessels in WA.

Duties will include:

• Building on a database of customers for new brokerage listings
• Source and manage boat listings 
• Meeting with vendors and purchasers, preparing vessels and conducting viewings
• Preparing listing agreements and sales agreements
• Attending surveys and sea trials
• Promoting and selling our new boat brands
• Maintaining communication between broker and clients throughout the complete listing and sales process 
• Boat handling of trailer boats and penned boats

The successful candidate:

• Must be an enthusiastic team player
• Must have previous experience within a customer service and sales environment in the marine industry
• Must have an ability to build rapport and understand customer needs
• Will have the ability to be flexible as weekend work will be required
• Will ideally have boat accessories / marine product knowledge
• Must have boating experience and a skippers ticket
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must have good computer skills

Remuneration is via a generous commission structure with unlimited earning potential.
