Boiler and Refrigeration Attendants - Morning and Afternoon Shift
We are an Australian owned meat processing plant based in Dandenong, currently building a state of the art cattle processing facility. We are looking for Boiler and Refrigeration Attendants for morning and afternoon shifts.
You will be responsible for daily maintenance of the boiler, as well as compressors, ammonia pumping and Refrigeration throughout the facility. Your day-to-day activities will include but are not limited to maintaining the multitude of heating and cooling machinery throughout the plant, isolating any leaks as they occur and contacting maintenance for any required works.
Key Responsibilities of this Role:
- Working with ammonia and glycol refrigeration systems.
- Working with pressurised vessels (must have a High Risk Work License, Boiler Standard or Boiler Advanced).
- Monitoring temperatures in chillers, boning room, offal room.
- Ensuring compressors are functioning.
- Performing ammonia works including isolating ammonia leaks.
- Maintaining boiler temperatures, including starting the boiler in the morning and monitoring temperature throughout the day.
- Willing to work overtime if required to complete a task.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Maintaining clean work areas to ensure hygiene needs of site are met.
- Ensuring you and your team are working in a safe environment.
- Working with rendering production including running low tech cookers for tallow and meat meal production and blood processing.
This role comes under the render team due to its vicinity to render, and includes some render processes. Successful candidates will be managed by maintenance.
Remuneration is negotiable and will be based on experience.
