We are looking for experienced Boilermakers to come and join our close-knit team at Port Hedland. You will be primarily responsible for fabricating, welding, and conducting maintenance and repairs on road transport equipment.
This position is/includes:
- Full-time permanent role.
- Working Monday-Friday (5&2 Roster) for Port Hedland local employees only.
- Fortnightly Rental Assistance.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Ensure all work is carried out to company policies and procedures.
- Reading of technical drawings.
- Aluminium welding experience desirable.
- Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal stock.
- Marking and cutting out sections and shapes using hand tools and other workshop equipment.
- Fit up and fabrication of components, in jigs and to drawings.
- Joining metal section using various welding techniques, MIG and FCAW.
- Examining welds for size, penetration, and defects.
- Diagnose and repair damage as part of the maintenance and service of heavy vehicles.
- Identify and resolve fabrication difficulties.
- Perform all duties whilst adhering to OH&S requirements.
- Follow systems and procedures & fill out checklists and paperwork.
- Adhere to workplace safety requirements.
About you:
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate - Boilermaker/Fabricator.
- 2nd Class welders/fabricator are also welcome to apply.
- Road transport industry experience, highly advantageous.
- Possess experience, or desire to use a robotic welder.
- Hold a current LF (forklift) license or willing and able to obtain one.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test.
- Provide a valid National Police clearance (not issued longer than 6 months ago).
