Boilermaker Apprenticeship - Adult and Junior

Melco Engineering is looking for individuals interested in kick-starting their trade careers through an apprenticeship. You will be completing your Certificate III Engineering Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker).

You will be exposed to a variety of skills, equipment, and operations as part of your apprenticeship.

Completing on-the-job practical training as well as off-site training with CQ TAFE Queensland.

You will be surrounded by highly skilled tradespeople, keen to share their craft and knowledge with you.

You will report to the Workshop Supervisor, who will guide you and mentor you through your four-year apprenticeship.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals committed to completing a four-year trade qualification whilst being provided with the right skills, guidance, and professional development that will lead to exciting career opportunities.

The successful candidates will have a genuine interest in completing a National Recognised Qualification, be punctual and reliable, and possess a great work ethic.

It will be highly desirable if you have already completed a Certificate I or II in either Engineering pathways or a trade-related certificate You will also benefit by having an understanding of subjects like Maths, Graphics, or Technology.

• A great attitude and strong communication skills
• Ability to work full-time hours, Monday to Friday

Desirable attributes:

• “C” class driver’s licence
• Had work experience (either through school or post-school) in a workshop environment 
• Completed a Cert I or Cert II Engineering course
