We are seeking a Night shift Boilermaker to be a part of the Fabrication team at our workshop in Bruce Rock. The role will be working a DIDO 9/5 roster; you will be fabricating, welding and conducting maintenance and repairs on road transport equipment.
This position is:
- Full Time Permanent Position.
- Bruce Rock Location.
- Tool Allowance paid $35.00 per fortnight.
- Drive In Drive Out (DIDO) 9 days on/ 5 days off roster.
- Local resident 9 days on/ 5 days off roster.
- Accommodation and Meals provided for our DIDO roster.
- Immediate Start.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Ensure all work is carried out to company policies and procedures.
- BRE road transport equipment and other products as required.
- Reading of technical drawings.
- Aluminium welding experience desirable.
- Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal stock.
- Marking and cutting out sections and shapes using hand tools and other workshop equipment.
- Fit up and fabrication of components, in jigs and to drawings.
- Joining metal section using various welding techniques, MIG and FCAW.
- Examining welds for size, penetration, and defects.
- Diagnose and repair damage as part of the maintenance and service of heavy vehicles.
- Identify and resolve fabrication difficulties.
- Perform all duties whilst adhering to OH&S requirements.
- Follow systems and procedures & fill out checklists and paperwork.
- Adhere to workplace safety requirements and use PPE correctly at all times.
About you:
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate - Boilermaker/Fabricator.
- 2nd Class Welders/Fabricator are also welcome to apply.
- Road Transport Industry experience, highly advantageous.
- Experience, or desire to use, Robotic Welder.
- Hold a current LF (forklift) license or willing and able to obtain one.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test.
- Provide a valid National Police clearance (not issued longer than 6 months ago).
