Responsibilities:
Working with a team of 5 - 10 coworkers, as a Boilermaker you will:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and fabrication on piping, mechanical equipment and machinery in the sugar processing plant.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and identify areas for improvement.
- Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure smooth operations and optimise production efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
The types of equipment you will be working on include:
Piping, Tanks, pumps, feed chutes, Pressure equipment, Structural welding, fabrication, metal reclamation, plate rolling.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Trade Qualification as a Boilermaker, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong fabrication aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
