My client is a market leader in the meat processing industry, dedicated to achieving excellence. They are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Boning Room Manager to drive productivity and uphold quality standards in their Laverton Victoria site.
Role Overview:
As the Boning Room Manager, you will lead the day-to-day processing operations, focusing on moisture-enhanced pork production.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role will be pivotal in achieving targeted volumes and maintaining high productivity levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Boning Room, ensuring product specifications and standards are consistently met.
- Strive for operational efficiencies in cost, labour, and productivity.
- Provide sound technical advice and direction to staff, fostering a well-trained and focused work group.
- Adhere to regulatory and quality assurance requirements, including DAWR, customer, and company standards.
- Liaise with internal functions (Administration and Sales) to meet production requirements.
- Oversee site personnel matters, including recruitment, performance reviews, training, and disciplinary actions.
- Certificate III Meat Processing (Boning).
- Thorough understanding of meat production processes, particularly in Boning Room operations.
- Practical knowledge of Boning Room production procedures.
- Familiarity with employment and WHS requirements.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and effective time management.
- Intermediate computer skills and a valid driver's license.
