The practice launched in May 2023 and we are now seeking psychologists to grow our team.
Position Description

Develop your career in the areas that motivate you as Luma Room grows. Primarily the role involves individual and/or couples+ work, but there are also opportunities to engage in small group work such as eco-therapy if this interests you (training provided).
In this role, you will have access to regular peer supervision, training opportunities, and will practice from our spacious room in Brunswick.
Balance flexibility and autonomy within the context of a supportive practice. Choose hours that suit you and have agency over your case load.
The position involves:
Assessment:
· Conducting clinical interviews
· Developing collaborative formulations
· Using psychometric measures as appropriate
· Diagnosis where appropriate
· Assessing risk
Treatment:
· Delivering client-centred, collaborative, evidence-based psychological treatment for individuals and/or couples+ for mental health and/or relationship related challenges
· Facilitating small evidence-based groups (if of interest)
· Managing risk where necessary
· Ability to work in person or via telehealth
Administration and communication:
· Maintaining clinical case notes
· Communicating with General Practitioners and other parties as necessary
· Writing professional assessment reports and support letters as necessary
· Responding to client and care team emails in a timely manner
· Consulting where necessary
· Liaising with practice colleagues regarding matters such as your availability and case load

About You
· AHPRA registered as a general or clinical psychologist
· Medicare registered
· Dedication to ongoing learning and reflective practice
· A warm, non-judgmental, curious, and collaborative therapeutic approach
· Ability to work independently and as a team
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Self-care practices in place
· Dedicated to an evidence-based approach
· Adherence to the Australian Psychological Society (APS) code of ethics
· Progressive and inclusive mindset
Bonus but not Essential:
· Availability to work after hours (e.g., 5pm-9pm) or weekends (higher pay available for these hours)
· An interest in both individual and couples+ work
· An interest in eco-therapy
· Clinical experience and training, or willingness to undergo training, in relevant areas of practice
· Other skills or interests that you might like to bring to small group work such as music, art, yoga, meditation, gardening
· Research skills/doctoral level education
