Due to a very extensive pipeline of projects, they are growing substantially and are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to join their friendly and growing team. The Role:
Our client currently has an opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The role will report to the Financial Controller and assist the construction division. There are plenty of opportunities to expand the role responsibilities as desired by the right candidate.
Key responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate processing of tax-compliant vendor/sales invoices, credit notes & expense claims, account coding and payments by EFT, cheques, and sending remittance advice
- Management and verification of charges received from strata bodies
- Manage invoice flow to and from multiple entities and ensure accurate processing
- Develop and maintain good relationships with internal/external clients and follow up on any AP/AR-related issues and queries
- Complete monthly reconciliations of creditor statements to payables ledger
- Complete monthly reconciliations of bank/credit card statements
- Regular liaison with creditors/debtors to resolve any queries
- Monthly, weekly, or ad-hoc payment runs
- Ensure integrity of data is maintained and verify that transactions comply with financial and tax policies and procedures
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly BAS reports
- Ensure compliance with GST and other ATO requirements
- Assisting with month-end duties
- Other related AP/AR duties
- Administration & general office support
- Multi-Entity accounting experience
- Demonstrated experience dealing with multiple entities and intercompany transactions
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
- A willingness to learn and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and ability to process transactions with accuracy
- Strong organization skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Good working knowledge of MYOB and Xero
- Knowledge of Property Development, Real Estate, Property Management, or related industries
