Keppel Bay Marina is a family built, owned and operated business. Known as the friendliest marina, it stands as a major attraction for visitors to the Capricorn Region and hub of marine, tourism and leisure activities on the Capricorn Coast.
Keppel Bay Marina has grown over the years and now, approaching our 30th year, consists of several separate, but fully integrated business elements that work in synergy to create arguably the most comprehensive marine and tourism facilities on the East Coast of Australia including

Job tasks and responsibilities
Keppel Bay Marina is seeking an experienced, self motivated person to provide Bookkeeping and HR/Payroll functions to assist with the accounting for all areas of the business.
This person will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Daily Banking
- Bank reconciliation
- Quarterly BAS preparation
- Preparation of fortnightly payroll
- Quarterly Superannuation payments
Skills and experience
- Extensive experience in a similar role, or degree qualified in Accounting, Economics or similar.
- Demonstrated organisational, administrative and prioritising ability.
- Effective communication skills, written and oral.
- Intermediate to advanced skills levels in Computer Accounting packages (ideally Xero), MS Word, MS Excel.
- Ability to generate simple financial reports.
- Ability to analyse data and present concise and thorough recommendations to General Manager

- Demonstrated attention to detail and thorough approach to tasks

- Maturity to work efficiently unsupervised

This is a part-time role, 30-38 hrs/week. Hours are flexible within the constraints of usual bookkeeping deadlines and fortnightly payroll requirements.
Keppel Bay Marina is a 7 day a week, 364 days a year business.
With the exception of special events, this role does not require work on weekends.
