AddressMy Canberra based client is seeking a detail oriented and proficient Bookkeeper to join the finance team. They are looking for someone who is a great communicator and able to deliver best practice to clients that include Trusts, Sole Traders, Partnerships and Private clients. This is a family business that would suit someone who wants to join an established dedicated friendly team on a long-term basis. Open to 4 or 5 days a week.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Data entry and reconciliation of Agents rental statements.
- Assist with end-to-end management of accounts payable and accounts receivable duties.
- General ledger entries when required.
- Balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of bank statements and credit card statements.
- Assist with processing Payroll.
- Assist with managing ASIC documentation and financial records.
- Assist the Senior Accountant with Tax compliance including BAS reports, PAYG, GST, Income Tax preparation, Payment Summaries etc.
To be considered you will have:
- 3+ years' Bookkeeping experience either in an Accounting Firm or private business
- Excellent attention to detail / data entry skills
- Good understanding of accounting processes / Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
- Experience in Reckon / Xero would be an advantage but not essential
- Understanding of GST / Tax Compliance / Payroll Processing
- Be committed to work as part of a cohesive, supportive family team.
This is a permanent role which can be 4 or 5 days a week and offers free on-site parking. Inner-South Canberra location.
