About the business and the role
A CPA Practice which is a rapidly growing organisation with new business clients, is looking for a BOOKKEEPER / ADMIN ASSISTANT to join our team. We pride ourselves on providing personal and excellent service. Our culture requires team players with a "can do and will do" attitude and a humble approach whereby no job is too big or too small.
Commencing as a casual with the possibility of a permanent part-time position working between 15 – 22.5 hours per week.
The successful applicant will have excellent people skills, FLUENT verbal and written English, and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. Also essential is excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise your workload and work to a budget and deadline. The right person is someone who enjoys attention to detail and respects client confidentiality as much as they enjoy working in a fun and light-hearted workplace.
The applicant will have considerable experience with MYOB and XERO accounting software and be XERO Certified. Experience with other accounting software such as QuickBooks Intuit is also an advantage.
Candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of Australian-based bookkeeping/accounting experience including payroll
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Administration & client liaison
- Filing
- Binding Documents
- Bookkeeping
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly BAS /IAS
- Processing of Superannuation
- Processing of Payroll/STP
- Company secretarial work (ASIC Lodgements etc)
