Seeking an experienced residential BOQ estimator to join a builder in Melbourne's SE as a Team Leader leading a team of 5 reports.
OUR CLIENT: Residential builder, known for delivering high quality & award winning homes to all Australian families.As a Team leader you will be assisting and leading a team of 5. You will ensure the team provides complete & accurate Bills of Quantities for use in setting retail prices and for the basis of producing purchase orders.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Procurement manager, your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the development of new BOQs for product offering.
- Maintenance of existing BOQs as required due to design changes, standard inclusion changes, and updated construction methods as directed.
- Responsible for addressing all ETSs attributable to incorrect details in BOQs when identified.
- Submit Monthly reporting for Direct Building Costs to management based on BOQ pricing for relevant building regions, with analysis of discrepancies or variances across product ranges.
- Assist all users with queries relating to Databuild and BOQ concerns as may be required.
- Assist with the development and/or implementation of new estimating systems as directed.
- Prepare Workflow Schedule for the Tech Service team, monitor and maintain regularly.
- Effective leadership, management, and development of the BOQ estimating team.
- Other estimating-related tasks as directed by management.
- Action required Change Request Forms (C.R.F) as necessary
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Ideally, minimum 5 years' experience in volume housing estimating, with at least 2 years as a Team leader in a similar role.
- Sound knowledge with DATABUILD
- High level Management skills with proven ability to manage a team
- Advance Microsoft (M.S.) Excel and Word experience.
- Strong analytical ability with excellent attention to detail
- Previous BOQ residential estimating experience.
