The Role

As a Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and programming a 5 and 7-axis Brake Press machine. Success in this role will require you to be fast-moving while producing high quality and precise work. You will work alongside a team of experienced tradespeople in a supportive, collaborative, and dynamic environment. 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Programming, setting up, troubleshooting, and operating a 5 and 7-axis Brake Press machine with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reading and interpret basic workshop drawings.
• Lifting and Maneuvering sheet metal (up to 20kgs). 
• Adhering to all safety and quality assurance procedures.

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:

• Trade Qualified Sheet Metal Work, Boilermaker, General Labourer (2nd/3rd year apprentices highly required) 
• Experience using a Brake Press highly regarded. 
• A strong attention to detail.
• Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
• Taking care and pride in your work.
• You are a collaborative team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Skill to meet daily deadlines/KPIs and work proactively.
• Ability to comply with Workplace Health and Safety Regulations.
• Fit and capable of lifting loads up to 20kgs.
