Branch Manager

Reporting to: State Manager
Remuneration: $90,000 per annum.
An exceptional opportunity awaits a seasoned and dynamic individual to take on the pivotal role of Branch Manager within a renowned and leading player in the energy solutions industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in daily operations, steering the branch towards profitability, and ensuring sustainable growth across retail, wholesale, and trade markets. Role Overview: As the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the overall profitability and sustainable operation of the store. This involves overseeing operational aspects, minimizing costs, maximizing profits, and fostering business growth. Key Responsibilities: Operational Excellence:
Streamline the movement of goods in and out of production facilities for enhanced efficiency.
Develop and present sales budgets, forecasts, and reports with meticulous attention to daily cash till reconciliation and banking.
Conduct regular stock takes, implementing effective stock control strategies, particularly focusing on minimizing aged stock.
Actively engage in debtor management, demonstrating proficiency in recovering outstanding funds.
Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions to refine strategies accordingly.
Personnel Management:
Oversee key personnel functions such as selection, training, and evaluation.
Provide clear guidance and direction to subordinates, establishing and monitoring performance standards.
Manage employee timesheets and cultivate constructive working relationships within the team.
Customer-Centric Approach:
Conduct strategic visits to both existing and potential business partners to identify and capitalize on selling opportunities.
Assess unique business requirements and recommend products that align with their needs.
Provide expert advice to customers on product selection, modification, usage, and compliance with safety and legislative requirements.
Logistics and Equipment Management:
Operate and enforce safety procedures for vehicle operation and material-moving equipment.
Execute material transport, order picking, and loading/unloading of sales trucks/vans.
Additional Requirements:
Possession of a valid Driver's license (Manual, if required).
Utilization of a company vehicle.
Proficiency in forklift operation.
Competence in using workshop equipment, including hand tools, battery chargers, and safety equipment.
Capability to handle occasional heavy lifting (20-30kg) while adhering to safe lifting practices.
Willingness to engage in occasional inter and intra-state travel with overnight stays.
Flexibility to adhere to a Saturday morning roster (where applicable).
Proficiency in using computer skills and familiarity with ERP software.
Working Conditions and Compensation:
Remuneration: $90,000 per annum.
Additional Benefits:
Company car.
Branch bonus eligibility after 6 months (subject to meeting targets).
Manager's KPI bonus eligibility after 12 months (subject to meeting performance criteria).
Working Hours:
7:30 AM to 5:30 PM (45 hours per week).
1-hour lunch break.
Occasional Saturday work (rostered) from 9 AM to 12 PM (paid at OT rate).
Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift license.
Proficiency in driving a manual car.
MR license.
MUST HAVE:
Proven "People Manager" skills through previous leadership experience.
