About the branch
The Donald Community Bank has been operating for 12 years. It was established by the community so that residents and businesses continued to have access to the full range of banking services without having to travel.
Some of our proudest community achievements include:
- Supporting various clubs, organisations, projects and events.
- Financial contribution to the redevelopment of the stadium and facilities at the Donald sports precinct.
- Providing a scholarship to help a student access tertiary education.
- Taking over the VicRoads agency when it looked as though hit would be lost, so that licenses and registrations renewals and testing for leaners permits can be done in town

About the role
The Branch Managerwill be responsible for building the strategic plan to gain market share for the localised area. You will spend a large portion of your time utilising your business development skills to build long-term connections with local community groups, stakeholders and partners to drive business opportunities for the Branch.
It is a vital leadership role within the Community Bank team and broader branch network. It is an all-rounder role, with a broad range of commercial, operational and leadership responsibilities and accountabilities.
This position is located at Donald. The role full time.
The branch is closed Tuesdays! Have a WFH day, community connection day, admin catch-up day - The choice is yours!
About you
You will have:
- Understanding of financial management, business acumen and risk framework
- Embed operational and risk management practices through regular and clear communication on requirements
- Proven leadership and coaching experience
- Banking and finance experience is a bonus – we have a supportive leadership team in place that can help fill the knowledge gaps as long as you’re the right type of leader!
- Business development or business to business/community collaboration experience.

- Lead your team to success in both short and long-term plans
- Establish and nurture business networks to build the branch profile in your local community and create an effective referrer network
- Listen and learn from formal and informal customer feedback to continue to build and improve our connection with our customers
