About the Role

As our Branch Manager you will oversee and manage the daily operations of our Victoria Insurance Branch. You'll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients, as well as overseeing the performance of our branch staff.

Key responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to;

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the entire insurance business within your nominated branch; including building and maintaining a strong team culture that fosters collaboration, accountability, and high performance locally and nationally.
  • Continuously look to improve branch performance, through the development and implementation of new technologies, processes, and procedures, ensuring consistency is upheld across the entire business and in line with business strategies.
  • Analyse operational and management reports, monitoring the effective delivery of organisational KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Handle high-level escalations for your branch across all departments; including resolving complex customer issues and managing disputes with insurance providers or other stakeholders.
  • Forecast financial and budgetary requirements of operations and manage to achieve overall business goals and objectives.
  • Provide input into the development of the overall business direction and strategy by recommending improvements to operations, functions, and customer service, while ensuring adherence to the National Process. 
  • Prepare regular performance reports on branch/state performance, including key performance indicators and financial metrics.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies and procedures. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance providers, adjusters, brokers, and clients.  
  • Coaching and mentoring team members, providing regular feedback, and creating opportunities for professional development.
  • Deliver training programs to ensure that all branch staff are adequately trained in relevant skills and procedures, using national training SOP’s.
  • Ensure all new team members are adequately onboarded to your local team and introduced to all team members.
About You
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance assessing and repair, preferably in a similar role
  • At least 2 years demonstrated experience in a management or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance industry practices and standards, as well as relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of motivating and developing teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across a broad range of professionals and business sectors 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and achieve revenue targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant industry-specific software
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as a degree in building, construction, engineering or business management
  • Requires a valid driver's license
  • Willing to travel when required
