About Helping Hands Building Services
As part of our suite of community services, Helping Hands has been serving the Great Lakes and Manning communities for more than 30 years. Our qualified team provides home building, specialist home modifications, construction and maintenance - with the goal of helping their clients to stay independent, safe and healthy in their own homes, for as long as possible.
The role
Permanent part-time - 32 hrs per week, based in Tuncurry and working across NSW's mid-north coast. Predominantly you will be installing rails and ramps and delivering bathroom and kitchen modifications.
About you
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- relevant qualifications (minimum Certificate 111 in Carpentry) and two years' experience in carpentry or building in residential construction
- valid state-issued builder's license (or willingness to obtain within six months)
- valid General Construction Induction Card (white card)
- ability to understand and work from diagrams and plans
- strong knowledge of building codes, regulations and construction practices
- ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- ability to get along well with people, especially with aged persons
- willingness to undertake NSW Working with Children and National Criminal History Checks
- current Drivers Licence and own vehicle which you will need to carry your tools and travel to construction sites
- evidence of full COVID19 vaccination and willingness to share vaccination status
