Accounts Payable/ Receptionist - Residential Builder

G.J. Gardner Homes, one of Australia’s most respected and fastest growing building companies, requires a permanent full time experienced Accounts Payable Clerk/ Receptionist to join our team in Caringbah, NSW. We seek a motivated candidate for this exciting position in the field of residential construction.

About the Role:

An opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and personable Accounts Payable Clerk/ Receptionist to join our team at G.J Gardner Homes Sydney South.

The position is responsible for managing reception and office duties as well as the end-to-end accounts payable function which includes but is not limited to:

Accounts Payable

• Processing supplier and subcontractor invoices 
• Accurately coding all invoices to correct accounts
• Reconciling supplier and sub contractor statements
• Preparation of all accounts for payment
• Preparing ad-hoc payments as required

Reception

• Greeting of customers, trades & suppliers visiting the office for meetings and appointments
• Responsible for managing all telephone calls and enquiries
• Assisting the Contract Administration team with filing and other administrative tasks
• Managing general cleanliness of Office & Display Suite
• Responsible for ordering office supplies
• Assisting the company Director's as required

To be considered for this role you must demonstrate

• High level working knowledge of Xero and Administration
• A minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
• Positive and friendly attitude and mature disposition
• Strong administration and organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• A professional telephone manner
• The ability to show initiative and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and stay calm under pressure

To be successful you will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with proven experience working in a full-function accounts payable role. You will also have an intermediate knowledge of Google Workspace - Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets etc and have the ability and willingness to learn new software packages
