Responsibilities:
1. **Estimating**: Utilise your expertise to accurately estimate the costs of building works, ensuring projects are financially viable and competitive.
2. **Government and Council Tenders**: Manage the process of tendering for government and council projects, adhering to regulations and requirements to secure contracts.
3. **Assisting with Tender Applications**: Collaborate with the team to prepare and submit tender applications, showcasing the capabilities and strengths of DJC Build.
4. **Procurement of Trades**: Source and procure qualified tradespeople and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality standards are met.
5. **Liaising with Supervisors**: Maintain effective communication with project supervisors to ensure smooth coordination and execution of building works.
6. **Liaising with Trades**: Act as a liaison between DJC Build and trades, fostering strong relationships and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
7. **Procurement of Trade Contracts**: Oversee the procurement of trade contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and project timelines.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of building materials, methods, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for estimating.
