ABOUT THE ROLE
- Ongoing Full Time
- Base salary $90,631 + 11% superannuation
This position plays an integral role in Council's Infrastructure Delivery department.
Reporting to the Building Coordinator, the primary objective of this position is to coordinate, deliver, oversee and approve Council's programs for civil and building works, community infrastructure, and Capital Works projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- assess and determine the best approach to the maintenance needs of Council's building assets
- administer the programmed and reactive Building Maintenance works
- implement Council's annual Building Maintenance and operating programs
- coordinate major/minor Building Maintenance contracts
- assist with preparing tenders and contracts
- prepare building and budget estimates and reports.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful you will:
- hold a current Victoria Building Practitioner Licence or tertiary qualification in building, project management or substantial experience in a related field
- have experience in coordinating construction/building/maintenance contractors/trades
- have experience in the delivery and supervision of building construction, maintenance and operational projects
- be self driven and able to work autonomously
- have strong communication and written skills
- have well developed interpersonal skills
