The Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Service and based in our Brisbane office, the Building Optimisation Manager will be responsible for supporting the Service teams with improving asset performance and optimising operation. With extensive HVAC operational and technical expertise, along with a sales driven mindset, this role aims to expand develop The VAE Bureau and Technical Support Team into a thriving operation.
Some of the key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Take ownership of the BMS Service product and VAE Bureau sales support
Refine our product and tools to ensure efficient investigation, resolution advice and reporting of Energy Optimisation, Asset Performance and Building Comfort across our clients’ assets.
Support and advise our Customer Account Managers on the delivery of BMS Services across our client base.
Work with Customer Account Managers, Asset Specialists and our Essential Services Manager in CAPEX planning and dilapidation reports for our client assets.
Work alongside our Asset Specialist, Essential Services Manager supporting our Business Development Managers to identify opportunities and technical support of sales.
Concentrate on building the Bureau brand and VAE technical services in the marketplace
Identify potential opportunities for market share expansion
Articulate best in class Technology/Engineering solutions for customer pain points
Provide technical and business support to team members across the business
Develop strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business

We are looking for a candidate who demonstrate their experience in a similar role, or knowledge of building performance and associated technologies, an understanding of the challenges of working in a dynamic and fast-growing business, and the following attributes
Tertiary and trade background in energy sustainability and technology
Motivation and ability to refine, build and own a product offering
Proficient in pricing, estimation, and solution-focused benefits (e.g., ROIs, lifecycle, asset management, sustainability)
Knowledgeable in Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions
Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
Customer service excellence
Strong time management and financial competency
Thrives under pressure, maintains high standards
