Building Supervisor

Varcon Group has an exciting opportunity which exists for a Building Supervisor to join our fast-growing team of professionals in the North West of Melbourne. 

The role will entail supervising various types of luxury residential projects, ranging from single custom designed homes to medium density developments in North Western Suburbs of Melbourne.

• Building Supervisor  - (Minimum 5 years Experience) in a similar role within the building and construction industry,

About the role:

The Building Supervisor will be responsible for the onsite management of projects, including managing and coordinating all sub-contractors and suppliers for the full completion of projects. The role requires a person who is self-motivated, extremely capable, adaptable, and innovative, and has experience leading and managing construction projects to the highest quality.

The Building Supervisor will also be the point of contact between Varcon and the client.

Immediate start available. 

Specifically your role will entail:

• Managing multiple projects including daily site supervision
• Daily Coordinating and liaising with subcontractors
• Communicating and Developing strong relationships with clients and Consultants
• Coordinating Site OH&S, QA 
• Processing variation quotations and request for information to the client
• Maintaining and updating project programs
• Maintaining construction documentation

Mandatory ticket requirements are as follows:

• White Card
• Drivers License 

Desired tickets:-

• First Aid (Current)

The successful candidate will require the following skills and experience:

• At least five years experience in the Australian construction industry and in a Building Supervisory role
• Demonstrated site management and construction experience.
• Carpentry background preferred, but not compulsory 
• Sound knowledge of building products, processes, and trades
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Basic IT / Computer skills (Microsoft word, Excel, Project and Outlook)
• Ability to work autonomously and within a small team
• Current driver’s license and or (Vehicle Depending on individual requirements)
• Ensuring our projects are built to our high-quality standards.
• Ensuring our trades work to our standards taking into account procedures and specifications;
• Ability to manage disputes and unforeseen issues
• Organisation and communication skills 
• Providing outstanding customer service to our clients;
