Qualifications & experience
- A full and valid driving licence
- Residential & Commercial Construction Trade qualifications required. (Carpenter preferred).
- Proven experience in the residential & commercial construction industry.
- Profound knowledge of building and repair processes.
- Experience of working with a multi-skilled trades team (within occupied/vacant properties)
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to diagnose and prioritise specific work activities and tasks
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and experience in order to gain clear results
- Ability to demonstrate a flexible, caring, and professional approach to customer care within a wide range of work situations
- Can-do attitude towards work
- Able to produce consistently high quality workmanship
- Honest and truthful at all times
- Knowledge and understanding of construction related OH&S legislation
- Understanding of value for money
- Ability to work outside normal working hours as required
Tasks & responsibilities
- Managing the repair work, and its progress, within budget and completing within repair cycle timeline
- Supervise and inspect work to ensure compliance with required WHS legislation.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones whilst ensuring timely delivery of repairs in accordance with expected outcomes for our clients
- Prioritise workloads and work in a systematic and organised manner to cope with tight deadlines
- Deliver first class customer service
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Action all supplier invoices and completion reports within KPIs, and identify any anomalies with trade costs
- Preparation of variations for submission to clients
- Co-ordinate all approved building works using preferred trades and contractors.
- Provide a high level of customer service, at all times, ensuring clients are well informed and kept up to date with the progress of works
- Schedule appointments, distribute contracts, submit reports
