About the role:
Kalyra seeks a motivated and experienced Building Works Manager to oversee exciting refurbishment and building projects. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring our Neighborhood Living communities have the best possible facilities, fostering resident independence and connection.
- You'll oversee refurbishment and building projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet all building codes and quality standards.
- Develop project plans, manage resources, and collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to bring these projects to life.
- Conduct regular site inspections, manage budgets, and proactively address any issues that may arise.
- Implement effective asset management strategies to optimise the lifecycle of our buildings.
- Coordinate major maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Effectively communicate with residents, and other stakeholders to keep everyone informed.
We're Looking for someone who:
- Has a relevant degree or diploma in project management, construction, architecture, or a similar field.
- Holds a current driver's license.
- Possesses strong project management experience, particularly in refurbishments and building projects.
- Has a comprehensive understanding of building codes, regulations, and work health and safety.
- Demonstrates excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Can interpret architectural plans and specifications.
- Has experience in the retirement village or aged care sector (preferred).
