About the roleAn exciting opportunity exists for a
Bus Driver to work across our Brisbane Aged Care Services in Alexandra Hills, Mitchelton, Acacia Ridge and Hillcrest. Your primary responsibility will be to provide safe and reliable transportation and assist with mobility of residents during outings.Within this permanent, part-time position, you will collaborate with Lifestyle Staff to plan and execute trips to enhance our residents’ social, emotional and physical wellbeing. You will undergo daily bus safety checks to ensure it is in excellent working condition, and will maintain travel logbooks.
About youYou have proven knowledge and physical capacity to drive busses as is required by the role. Your ability to work autonomously and manage your own time is exceptional. You have a welcoming, caring & compassionate nature and are ever ready to provide support.To be suited to this position ideally you will have:
- A current Light Rigid Bus Licence (Class LR);
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
- Demonstrated experience in bus driving;
- Applied knowledge of the principles of manual handling of people in a care setting;
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with elderly clients.
