Job Title: Bush Regeneration Team Member

Position Overview:We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Bush Regeneration Team, playing a crucial role in preserving and enhancing our natural environments. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about the outdoors, conservation, and have a keen interest in ecological sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:- Weed Management: Identify and control invasive weed species using various methods such as hand weeding, chemical control, and other innovative techniques.
- Habitat Management: Assist in the restoration and maintenance of native habitats, including wetlands, forests, and grasslands.
- Planting: Participate in the planting of native species, ensuring the right species are planted in appropriate areas to promote biodiversity.
- Land Management: Work on various aspects of land management including erosion control, soil stabilization, and restoration of natural areas.
- Invasive Species Management: Identify and manage invasive flora and fauna that threaten local ecosystems.
- Surveying: Conduct environmental and ecological surveys, monitoring plant and animal populations, and assessing habitat conditions.
- Community Engagement: Participate in community education and engagement activities related to bush regeneration and conservation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and care for tools and equipment used in bush regeneration tasks.
- Reporting and Documentation: Keep accurate records of activities, observations, and outcomes related to the regeneration projects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members, environmental scientists, and local communities to achieve conservation goals.
- Passion for environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
- Cert III/Diploma in Conservation and Land Management
- OHS Green/White Card
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor tasks.
- Basic knowledge of local plant and animal species (preferred).
- Experience in land management, horticulture, conservation, or a related field (advantageous but not essential).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and follow environmental guidelines and safety protocols.
