About the Role
School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) is responsible for the development of new school buildings, major upgrades, and effective maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school.
Your role as the Graphic Designer is to deliver high-quality, customer-focused Graphic Design services, across various mediums, print and digital platforms, to support priority projects and enhance SINSW’s brand profile and positioning.
The role will require you to:
• Develop and implement creative design solutions, from concept through to finished product, to ensure high-quality, consistent and brand compliant outcomes.
• Interpret design briefs and transfer complex concepts into practical, engaging designs that are targeted to the intended audience.
• Consult and collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to plan and scope design requirements, provide technical advice and meet customer and business needs.
• Apply best practice design standards and methodologies to develop creative designs that are accessible and aligned to brand strategy and organisational objectives.
• Develop, review and maintain design tools, templates and guidelines to meet compliance and accessibility requirements.
• Develop and maintain records and databases, complying with Department of Education information management policies and procedures, to ensure designs are accurately stored and readily available.
• Research, monitor and review design trends and technologies to support ongoing continuous improvement and innovation

About You
The ideal candidate will:
• Excellent attention to detail, typography, visual language, art direction, photography and brand.
• Experience in understanding government or major corporate framework
• Experience with MS Office Suite. Optional skills in Figma or Canva
• Flexible and proactive responsiveness to change direction and priorities.
• Self-directed and highly motivated.
• Strong team player and ability to work collaboratively.
Essential Requirements
• A valid Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment
• Relevant qualifications in Graphic Design and/or equivalent workplace experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the value of public education.
Key knowledge and experience
• Experience in the use of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)
• Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
