Envirotechniques is seeking a skilled and experienced person to lead a team to implement bushland regeneration and maintenance works based in the Outer-eastern and North-Eastern suburbs and Regions of Melbourne.
This position is a practical role starting on site at 7.30am and finishing at 3.36pm in varied locations. The position is full-time with a 3-month probation period applicable. Envirotechniques offers above award pay and the opportunity to work in a cohesive and rewarding team environment.
The successful applicant will be expected to represent Envirotechniques, delivering on site works of a high standard to provide a high degree of customer satisfaction, whilst adhering to company policies and values.
The successful applicant will have a highly organised approach with a strong ability to multitask a range of on ground works, including personnel management skills. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
A tool of trade vehicle with FuelCard, phone and laptop are all provided to the successful applicant.

- Previous team leading experience with a demonstrated ability to motivate others and maintain accountability.
- A demonstrated ability to plan, organise and complete works within allocated budgets and timeframes.
- A demonstrated ability to identify native plants and control a wide range of introduced species.
- A passion for conservation and natural resource management.
- A demonstrated ability to work harmoniously and productively within a small team and to work independently if required.
- A desire for continued learning.
- Demonstrated communication and customer relations skills to successfully liaise with a variety of stakeholders and land managers.
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strenuous physical tasks such as brush cutting, knapsack spraying, using hand tools and planting.
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management, Horticulture or relative field.
- Native flora & pest plant identification skills.
- Agricultural Chemical Users Permit
- First Aid level 2
- OHS White Card
- Manual drivers’ licence
- Chainsaw Operations (trim and crosscut or higher)
- Use of larger machinery or plant such as tractors, small excavators.
- MR drivers’ licence.
- GPS Mapping
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
