Novaskill operates as a non-profit Group Training Organisation, collaborating with local businesses to provide a diverse array of Apprenticeships and Traineeships.

With a presence that spans 8 locations, our footprint extends from the vibrant Gold Coast in Queensland to the picturesque Central Coast in New South Wales. We’re here to serve and support communities across these vast regions.

You’ll be completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business whilst gaining exposure to on-the-job training with ongoing mentoring and support to help you build your career, which could include internal promotion upon completion of your studies!

The learnings and responsibilities of this position include – 

  • Provide a high level of face-to-face customer service 
  • Answering phones and attending to customer enquiries and complaints 
  • Cash handling, payments, filing, photocopying, scanning, and preparation of documents. 
  • Assist in updating and maintaining data base records. 
  • Assist with planning certificates, rates enquires 
  • Contribute to the development of Council policies and procedures 
  • Assisting various stakeholders with office administration and support 
  • Working in an all-inclusive culture where all people are valued, and differences respected.  
     

About You - 

  • Completion of year 10 school certificate as a minimum requirement. 
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to providing a high standard of customer service 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • A commitment to the principles and practices of work health and safety  
  • Behaviour that positively demonstrates values of respect, inclusivity, and safety 
  • A willingness to develop skills relating to customer service within a Local Government environment. 
  • Presents a positive image of the council to the public 
  • Prior face to face customer service experience is desirable 
  • A current driver’s licence is desirable
