The Program
To support the Homes for Queenslanders plan, Information and Digital Services is leading a Service Modernisation Program (SMP) which will deliver a comprehensive program of work which will:
- improve the way vulnerable Queenslanders interact with our frontline services;
- provide a single source of truth for data and;
- provide us with the agility to respond to the changing needs of Queenslanders through reducing the complexity of our ICT ecosystem.
The Role
The Business Analyst will report directly to the Program Director and will manage and undertake the identification, analysis and documentation of customer requirements, project scoping, work packages and requirements gathering, including business process modelling, within a large and complex Service Delivery and Transformation environment.
The successful applicant will understand the principles of Agile and will have the demonstrated ability to put these into practice, along with experience in a hybrid environment.
- Develop, influence and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
- Identify cross government synergies and opportunities for collaboration in delivery of project and program outcomes.
- Capture and analyse 'As-Is' and 'To-Be' business process models
- Develop business requirements specifications, both functional and non-functional, for IM/ICT projects, ensuring traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide a support and mentoring role for other Business Analysts within the program/project(s).
- Liaise with project and program managers to ensure business requirements are incorporated into testing products.
- Assist in the development of test business cases and assist with testing activities.
- Provide timely and expert advice to project and program managers.
- Work collaboratively across multi-functional teams whilst effectively managing uncertainty and change.
Skills Required
- 3-5 years' experience in a Business Analyst Role
- BPMN, UML and/or Similar notation
- BPM understanding
- Degree in Business/IT or relevant experience
- Experience of working in an Agile environment
