The Role - Business / Marketing Analyst (Market to Mine)
This is a fantastic opportunity, reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, you will work as part of the team developing business growth and marketing strategies that will increase product awareness, generate leads and drive sales of our industrial mineral products. The Marketing / Business Analyst has a dual-purpose role:
(1) to identify, track, interpret, and report on key industry level trends and macro- / micro- economic leading lagging indicators that impact the industrial minerals business.
(2) provide market driven options, positions, products and alternative competitive and partner strategies to improve returns, with a focus on investigating and evaluating business opportunities, anticipating requirements and assisting the business to respond quickly to market movements and conditions.
Your focus will be primarily on trends within specific end-uses for Kaolin / industrial minerals and how changes to the market environment can impact demand for alternative or niche products
You will develop business models including estimated revenue and costs and identifying value creation and business savings
You will also assist in the preparation of presentations and major documents, including Commercial Strategy Plans, Business Strategy, Board meeting reports, monthly/quarterly/annual budget reviews, sales forecasts, conference papers, and analyst meetings.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate business or finance discipline.
- At least 3-7 years’ experience in trading and financial analysis (ASX listed preferred).
- Experience in industrial minerals sales and marketing.
- Ability to analyse complex market indicators, supply chain data and financial reports, while being able to communicate findings in an engaging, simple, and straight forward way.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders across businesses.
- Demonstrated resilience – ability to deliver high quality results under time pressure including in an international environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and agility with various finance packages including complex formulas, pivot tables, graphs and info graphics
- You may be required to travel both intrastate and internationally.
