As one of the largest employers in the NT, our client who supply the water, electricity generation and retail services across the region are currently seeking a Business Analyst with project management experience to assist with a program roll out across the corporation.
Position Overview
Based in Darwin and working closely with the Program Manager, the Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving forward the Corporations project delivery. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyse business processes, and deliver insights that support strategic decision-making. Your proficiency in traceability, Visio, mapping, and project management will be essential in ensuring the seamless execution of our projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation.
- Develop detailed business requirements and functional specifications.
- Utilise traceability techniques to ensure all requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create process maps, flowcharts, and diagrams using Visio to visualize business processes and systems.
- Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of projects.
- Perform data analysis to support business decisions and identify trends.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and present findings.
- Maintain documentation and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in business analysis.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Relevant qualifications / certifications in Business Analysis, Project Management and/or Information Technology.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Proficiency in traceability methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Visio for creating process maps and diagrams.
- Strong understanding of mapping techniques and their application in business analysis.
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Short to mid term placement with ongoing extensions
- $75-$95 per hour + Super
- Monday to Friday 37.5-hrs per week
