About the role The Business Analyst, a junior role, is dedicated to enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities include supporting the business transformation team, which encompasses quality functions, change management, and portfolio management. The role involves assisting with data, performance, reporting, and analytics, as well as identifying opportunities for improvement. Additionally, the Business Analyst contributes to developing performance monitoring and reporting mechanisms for EA’s annual plan, co-developing an enterprise operational business performance framework, gathering and processing performance data, and formulating strategies to improve workflows, implement updated processes, and provide necessary training.
Location: The preference for this role is to be based in Canberra.
In this role you will:
Support the Senior Business Analyst in the development of the organisation’s annual plan and framework, analyse data requirements and optimise existing processes to achieve required data.
Support the Senior Business Analyst in the development of EA’s annual plan performance monitoring and reporting mechanisms (i.e., processes, operating cadence, reporting platform)
Partner with General Manager Business Transformation and Senior Business Analyst on developing an enterprise operational business performance framework, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms (i.e., processes, operating cadence, reporting platform)
Support your team (Quality Management, Change Management, Enterprise Project Management Office - EPMO) in all aspects of performance data, reporting and analytics.
Gather, process, and visualise performance data to derive key insights in enabling data driven decision making.
Work with key stakeholders across the business to understand user requirements, pain points, current state and business needs for future state model development.
Partner with Senior Business Analyst in conducting pilot testing of processes and retrospectives.
Here is what we are looking for:
You have qualifications in related fields such as (not limited to) project management, business administration, business management, business analytics.
You have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in related areas of work such as project management, business administration, business analytics, process optimisation and improvement, performance reporting, dashboard creation and/or data analytics.
Demonstrated ability to understand importance of user requirements and application towards process design.
Demonstrated ability to design/ co-design creative, innovative, disruptive solutions and ways of working to deliver efficient and effective outcomes, address problems and mitigate risks.
Demonstrated ability to understand importance of data driven decision making and application towards performance monitoring & reporting design.
Demonstrated ability to collate, arrange, analyse, and transform raw data into valuable actionable insights.
You are a good communicator, able to foster interpersonal relationships at ease and work with key business stakeholders.
You have high proficiency in reporting.
