We are looking for a Business Analyst professional who has experience in financial services and software. This role will report to the Chief Growth Officer at Rapid Lending Group on the Gold Coast and work closely with the Rapid Loans product team based in Miami, Gold Coast.
Rapid is working with modern software solutions, to solve modern business problems. You will be working on everything, from helping define the product roadmap, to release management.
This is a chance to get involved with all aspects to get a complete understanding of the product, the stakeholders, and the unique selling points of the service.
Who Are You
You will be a seasoned Business Analyst. Your outstanding verbal and written communication skills support you presenting your suggestions confidently to any type of audience.
Ideally, you have previous experience in financial services, working in environments where lean principles and agile delivery methodologies have been embedded.
You are a stakeholder management professional who fully understands the steps to take within the customer journey to ensure customers’ loyalty and retention.
Being a result’s focused, commercially minded product expert, you can translate concepts between technology, business and design domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining and documenting the product's features, requirements, and specifications, ensuring they align with the product strategy and customer needs.
- Wearing the ‘Product Owner’ title in the scrum team.
- Gather and analyse business requirements for new and upgraded applications, working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs), clearly documenting the purpose, scope, functionality, and non-functional requirements of the applications.
- Prioritising features and user stories based on business value, customer impact, and resource constraints.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize requirements through workshops, surveys, and data analysis.
- Create and manage requirements traceability matrices (RTMs) to track the relationships between requirements and other project artefacts.
- Manage a backlog based on business priorities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including development, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment on product goals and priorities.
- Manage the delivery of software in an agile methodology.
- Support the development and testing of new and upgraded applications by clarifying requirements, reviewing design documents, and testing applications.
- Provide training and support to users on new and upgraded applications, including the development of training materials, conducting training sessions, and addressing user questions.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of new and upgraded applications, collecting feedback from users and working with stakeholders to identify and implement improvements.
- Identify and recommend process and application improvements by analysing existing business processes and developing solutions.
Key skills:
- A passionate Business Analyst with broad knowledge in various methodology practices and concepts.
- Experience in Agile methodologies.
- Experience in articulating requirements into system architecture and design.
- Knowledge of cloud architectures with Azure, AWS, PaaS, and SaaS products.
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills with an ability to synthesize complex problems into simple and actionable directives.
- You are an excellent communicator with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders with competing priorities, helping to align expectations, ensuring relevant executives are updated through regular reporting and succeed in unblocking issues and moving things along.
