About the role:
EastLink is looking for an enthusiastic Business Analyst Lead to join our Application team within our Information Technology department. Reporting into the Application Manager this permanent full-time position will provide an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst looking to take the next step in your career as you apply your existing knowledge and administration skills in a fast-paced but flexible environment.
The Business Analyst Lead has a broad scope which includes rolling your sleeves up and assisting the team to get tasks such as testing completed, as well as mentoring and guiding the team to help them grow their skills and confidence.
Within this role you will (but not limited to)
- Assist the Application Manager in preparing activity plans and schedules.
- Lead the Business Analyst team when required to do so to complete change programs and actively coach and mentor members of the Business Analyst team to provide them with information, techniques, instruction, feedback, and encouragement to maximise their success in the role and to improve team performance.
- Proactively develop processes and procedures to ensure consistently high-quality business analysis and change outcomes.
- Monitor ticket queue and respond promptly to issues raised in the tolling system.
- In conjunction with other staff and suppliers, monitor and investigate the cause and effect of issues within the Tolling System.
- Be an active participant in scoping studies and workshops, cost estimation, and business case development.
- Act as technical liaison between the business and the system delivery team to identify and elaborate on all processes such that all requirements are accurately defined.
- Initiate and coordinate system enhancements including the prioritisation of competing system changes, testing plans, and their execution.
- Manage the process of accepting new tolling system versions through the test, acceptance, and release process.
- Based on specification documents; prepare test plans and cases.
- Raise defects back to suppliers as required as issues become apparent in testing.
- Contribute to meetings during which the suitability and fit for purpose of new software releases will be assessed.
- Work with other staff and suppliers to draw up implementation and rollback plans for the deployment of new software releases.
- Develop manual workarounds (where required) to support operational activities.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will firstly be a team player, someone who is happy to jump on in and assist their team to get the job done.
You will also have:
- Degree in Information Technology or Software Engineering or comparable industry-relevant experience.
- Proven track record as an analyst, demonstrating significant experience in analysis, problem-solving, and solution recommendation.
- Proven experience in the manipulation, use, and visualisation of large data sets to solve complex business problems and give insight into future trends for business operations.
- Experience in a fast paced, flexible environment
- Experience in dealing with high-volume transaction rates, and small-value transaction systems in a customer service environment.
