The Senior Business Analyst supports the delivery of the Banking and Payments strategy and roadmap for a large NSW state goverment department in conjunction with NSW clusters, agencies and banking partners.
This initiative will drive the reduction in cheque usage across the Sector and support the development of the roadmap and implementation plan. This initiative will deliver simplified customer experience and efficiency benefits to the State.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the end-to-end digitisation of banking services, the deployment at scale of payments solutions, the design of high productivity new business processes, or the rollout of state-wide real-time payments
- Apply core consulting skills such as structured problem solving, business analysis, design thinking and solution delivery lifecycle
- Construct advanced quantitative models, work with poorly defined problems, provide clarity to complex issues or situations and synthesise large amounts of information into salient points
- Collaborate with varied stakeholders, engage with their organisation’s network, and facilitate workshops
- Involved in developing data-driven insights and cohesive conclusions from detailed analysis as part of high-performing project teams
- Involved in formulating innovative and action-oriented business solutions and strategies for our stakeholders
Experience/Qualifications:
- Strong consulting experience (5+ years) solutions experience in either retail or business payments ecosystem
- Experience in one of the following – journey mapping, business process management, complex transformations, and operational improvement
- Ability to solve complex business problems using design thinking approach, and exposure to common strategy consulting frameworks
- Strong disciplines in managing operational risk and transformational change
- Strong ability to structure and produce high quality deliverables
