Technology People are partnering with APA Group, an ASX top 40 firm to expand their Technology Team to meet the challenges of the future. APA own and/or operates a $21 billion portfolio of gas, electricity, solar and wind assets across Australia. Over the past decade, APA have supported and invested around $750m in renewable energy projects across Australia with more to come, the right people in the Technology Team are key to supporting the energy transformation.
THE ROLE:
As the Senior Business Analyst, you would be involved in all aspects of system and business analysis, including root cause analysis, identification, documentation, and justification of solution requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare business analysis artefacts in line with the delivery methodology and framework.
- Conduct requirements elicitation and process definition workshops.
- Preparation of documentation
- Assist with evaluation of vendor submissions.
- Assess the proposed solution, ensuring full traceability of the solution to the requirements.
- Gap analysis and mapping of current and future processes.
- Provide support to the relevant Applications resources as required including development of Business Case, Project Schedule, Vendor Evaluation, Training activities, Operational Support, and progress updates, as required for the project.
- Experience in business and systems analysis, requirements analysis, process modelling and design validation.
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Business Analyst within enterprise project environments.
- Formal training in Business Analysis and Business Process Modelling
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with best practice business analysis frameworks and processes e.g. the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK).
- Knowledge of project management and software development lifecycles and frameworks (e.g. Agile, PMBOK, PRINCE2).
- Demonstrated experience in gathering and understanding customer requirements in context of complex interdependent systems.
- Experience in using a range of tools and techniques for elicitation and analysis purposes
- Experience fostering relationships with business stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience recommending improvements to business processes, ensuring business goals are met.
- Excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills. Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
