The opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst who will be responsible for bridging the gap between business and technical teams by gaining an understanding of the needs of the business and translating them into clear requirements for the technology team and wider business processes. This is a 7-month fixed term contract.
These projects are linked to the organisation’s strategic vision and will involve interaction with many departments throughout the organisation.
Role overview:
- Analyse and understand business processes and systems to deliver successful business outcomes.
- Facilitate & coordinate meetings and workshops to gather and document requirements.
- Translate business requirements into project artefacts, technical documents and process maps.
- Build relationships, manage expectations, and ensure that proposed solutions align with business objectives and requirements.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and reduction of risk within process, people, systems and information tiers.
- Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, business users, project managers, and technical teams.
- Coordinate in testing activities to validate that the implemented solution meets the defined requirements.
- Assist in the management and coordination of project activities and team members.
- Facilitate and support change to deliver business and technology strategies and projects.
Skills and experience required:
- A “Can-Do” Attitude is crucial.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Business / Computer Science / Information Technology (or equivalent).
- Certification/Training in Business Analysis.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst. Though logistics or supply chain experience is preferred, this is not mandatory.
- Have worked in a variety of successful strategic transformational projects.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, senior management, vendors and other external parties.
- Exposure to and experience working with a mix of onshore/offshore development teams.
- Vendor Management – engaging with software vendors to ensure timely delivery of various projects.
