About the role
The Business Analyst role is responsible for providing financial and analytical support, together with identifying operational improvement opportunities, and ensuring the timely preparation of key financial reports and strategic documents. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to shape business strategies and make a significant impact towards the delivery of key business and strategic objectives.
The successful candidate will report to the Business Manager of Finance based in our Jandakot Head Office, and will collaborate with various departments to assist them achieve their business goals.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a suite of dynamic reports and dashboards using Accounting systems, showcasing key performance metrics, and operational trends.
- Identify, support and drive continuous process improvement initiatives
- Commercial report writing and interpretation of business metrics
- Undertake market and industry analysis as required
- Undertake financial and risk analysis of the business
- Support the Business Manager of Finance in all financial aspects of the business
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics or an equivalent field
- 2-4 years experience in a professional services firm, finance or comparable role
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and exercise discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
- Strong influencing, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Proficiency in financial modelling with a strong attention to detail and an ability to analyse and interpret reports.
- Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Office, Power BI, internet-based applications
- Experience with MYOB desirable but not essential
