The RoleThe Business Analyst serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and the development team, eliciting and clarifying requirements, facilitating communication, and ensuring the delivery of solutions that meet business needs. They refine items in the product backlog, validate solutions through user acceptance testing, and drive continuous improvement in the development process. Additionally, they provide domain knowledge and expertise, guiding the team in understanding business requirements and objectives

Responsibilities and Duties- Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for software development projects and translate them into clear and actionable requirements.
- User Story Development: Work closely with product owners and scrum team(s) to refine and decompose high-level requirements into detailed and well defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Requirement Prioritization and Backlog Management: Collaborate with product owners and scrum team(s) with product owners in prioritizing and managing the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects stakeholder priorities and aligns with project objectives.
- Communication and Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings. Serve as a liaison between customers, stakeholders, and scrum team(s), facilitating communication and collaboration to ensure that requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
- Quality Assurance and Validation: Review deliverables produced by scrum team(s) to ensure they meet customer requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Change Management: Manage project scope and requirements changes, assessing the impact on project timelines, costs, and resources; communicate changes, obtain approvals, and ensure that project deliverables meet evolving business needs.
- Defect/Bug Management: Manage the defect and bug queue, conducting initial reviews and solutioning to address reported issues promptly and effectively.
- Customer Support Escalations: Collaborate with support teams and serve as the primary point of contact for escalated customer support issues, leveraging technical expertise and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently, providing timely and effective resolution to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Scrum Demos and Internal Training: Prepare and conduct scrum demos to showcase completed features and functionalities to stakeholders and team members; and conduct internal training sessions for new team members onto project methodologies and tools.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Lead and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with customers to validate implemented features against customer expectations and gather feedback for further enhancements.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in retrospective meetings and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in requirements elicitation, analysis, and management.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the business domain, processes, and workflows relevant to the project. Serve as a subject matter expert on business requirements and processes.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to junior Business Analysts and other team members on requirements elicitation, analysis techniques, and agile methodologies.

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Analysis, Business Administration, MIS, or related fields
- 3+ years of business analysis experience within an enterprise-wide environment
- Experience with project management tools like Jira.
- Solid understanding of and experience in ERP System.
- Experience in building supplies market place or similar vertical.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment within multi-disciplinary agile dvelopment teams.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Normal office environment with use of computers and telephone systems.
- Ability to travel as needed, including rental car and air flight.
