Role Description:
The Technical Architect (Business Applications) will be responsible for providing trusted technical and business analysis advice on Business Applications within Territory Directorates.
The role is expected to liaise, negotiate, conduct workshops/interviews and coordinate with users, customers and key stakeholders to understand issues and requirements.
The role will consider organisational capability needs in proposing solutions and will be required to produce blueprints, roadmaps, technical designs, business and users journey reports; along with developing business cases to uplift the technology solutions within the directorate.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately describe current state of technical systems and environment.
- Lead the development of strategic specifications and designs (both technical and business) aligned with organisational objectives
- Champion innovative approaches to investigate and resolve IT issues, delivering cost effective solutions that impact the entire enterprise
- Employ a human centered approach to engage stakeholders in analysing and addressing cross functional business problems
- Assume a leadership role in analysing internal and external technology solutions - providing expert guidance on various business analysis domains to enhance business capabilities.
- Build trusted advisory over key decision makers and executives to bring them on the journey for technology uplift and advancement
- Develop the establishment of a technical and business framework; ensuring alignment with governance processes and fostering a mature design led, solution focused approach to project and product management
- Support the professional development of teams and users through the creation of procedures, guides, and staff training.
- Demonstrated expert Technical/Solutions/Business Analysis experience of the development and creation structures within business systems - particularly with a focus on Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Unix, Oracle
- Proven track record of utilising architectural management principles / architectural frameworks and related disciplines (eg. TOGAF, ITIL)
- Formal certifications at the Expert level in Technical Business Analysis (and/or Architecture) for Windows (Server, SQL, Power Shell), Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Power Platform), UNIX and/or Oracle platforms will be highly regarded.
- Proficient in generating professional, detailed, and accurate documentation for Architecture artefacts with experience in technical system design specifications - based on functional and non-functional requirements and current / target state analysis
- Leadership expertise in delivering agreed strategic business outcomes and solutions by taking initiative, managing resources and setting clear direction and providing guidance for managers and team members.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and diverse strategic business partnerships - including with executive stakeholders
- Advanced conceptual analytical skills - particularly the ability to understand how issues integrate and to make rational judgements from available information.
- Take a strategic and holistic approach to service design, support and delivery of business services and applications.
- Awareness of technical and business market trends and using this knowledge and expertise to advise and guide business outcomes.
