Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive/Business Assistant to join our Legal team in our Regional Head Offices in Subiaco.
This broad role, is more than just an Executive Assistant role providing executive administrative support to the Head of Legal Australia and general business support to Newmont’s Australian Business Unit legal team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and handling correspondence.
- Acting as the primary liaison between outside counsel and the Legal team with respect to billing arrangements and legal operational matters.
- Assisting in the coordination and proof reading of reports, presentations, and other documents required by the Head of Legal and senior inhouse counsel, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to deadlines.
- Managing the processing and payment of invoices from external service providers, including assisting in administering the proper engagement of external service providers
- Supporting the team in document management, processing and storage
- Providing general administrative support to the broader Legal team and other executives and teams when necessary
About You
This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast paced environment. You will have a high standard of work ethic and confidentiality with a professional and mature disposition.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key to your success in this role as you will be required to liaise effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, across a number of locations and time zones.
Previously experience as an Executive Assistant, Business Assistant or similar role, supporting executives or senior management will be essential. Experience within mining and/or a legal environment is preferred to ensure you understand the complexities of the team.
