About the roleAs the Business Category Manager (BCM) as part of the Dairy, Frozen and Convenience Business Unit, this role will see you focus on the Frozen category. You will report directly to the General Manager Dairy, Frozen and Convenience, and you will manage and drive the strategy across your category team.
You will deliver the best value proposition to our customers, by working closely with new and existing suppliers across all categories. You will create and execute strategies across the portfolio within a dynamic environment and partner closely with your peers in the Business Unit teams. Whilst managing and driving the performance of the category portfolio through sales, profitability, and growth.
You'll also:
• Be responsible for full P&L including sales, cost, and profit
• Manage numerous supplier and stakeholder relationships
• Drive product innovation and range architecture
• Build your teams capability and engagement to deliver performance excellence
This role would suit an individual either currently operating at BCM level (and equivalent) or someone looking to step up to the next level. Bring your proven people leadership, management, and commercial capability to have genuine impact.
You'll also need:
• Strong understanding of the Coles business and operation
• Proven experience in the management and understanding off a P&L
• Senior Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop high performance teams
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to work with numerous cross-functional teams
• Previous supplier management experience
• Extensive negotiation skills
• Demonstrated experience in the creation and delivery of a category strategy
